About the Owner and Founder - Nurture & Brushes Boutique, LLC.

“Hello! My name is Hannah Berth, the owner and founder of Nurture & Brushes Boutique, LLC. I am a Stay-at-home-mom of two, devoted to my high school sweetheart, dog mom of one, cat mom of three, chicken mom of four, part-time Guest Service Leader at Kwik Trip as well as a Safety and Wellness Coordinator for my store. My newest adventure is opening Nurture & Brushes Boutique, LLC. All of the above listed is all thanks to my beautiful, supportive family with our “Teamwork Makes the Dream Work” mentality. They are the support that drives it all and we hope that our family warmth and support will resonate throughout our unique Sensory Bottle Kits!

Before I started my journey into parenthood I studied Occupational Sciences at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree of Health Sciences with a heavy focus on Occupational Sciences, Interpersonal Communication, Child Psychology and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Within my coursework at UWM I ran group therapy sessions for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning much on sensory disorders and how beneficial sensory bottles can be. I also worked 1:1 with children ages 2-15 years of age on the spectrum. I always carried my very own sensory bottle with me to my sessions, it was a highly sought after reward among the kiddos I worked with!

I worked in-home/community outings for 4 years, center-based for 2 years, and school-based throughout. With all of that time working with children on the spectrum, I am no stranger to the interpersonal relationships with the parents, families, teaching and therapy staff that goes along with therapy of any sort, especially those who may not be able to speak for themselves.

As someone who has worked in this field in different settings, I can honestly say that the interpersonal communication relationship with the parents is one of the hardest parts. I have worked very hard to learn the best ways to get the parents involved and how to handle tough situations that can arise when working with children.

You can trust that with our products we have considered the hesitation that may arise creating messy bottles, with fear of them braking open. We will include a small tube of super glue for the adults to add to the lid as well as our unique Water Bottle Holder with a handle that will be included with every kit to help keep their bottles safe and sound.

The unique Water Bottle Holders are what make our product most intriguing and uniquely our own. We will be releasing new bottle kits with seasonal or holiday themes throughout the year and will be made-to-order. In addition to the seasonal releases, we are also working on a donation bottle that will be made and donated with one bottle donated for every three bottles sold on our website. We want our brand to not only reflect our “teamwork makes the dream work” mentality but to also reflect our giving nature because we truly want to BE the change we want to SEE in the world.❤️”

Parent's Guide: Introducing Sensory Bottles

A step-by-step approach to safely introduce calming sensory bottles to your child

1

Demonstrating How to Use the Bottle

Sit with your child in a calm, comfortable space. Show them how to gently shake or tilt the bottle to watch the contents move. Demonstrate slow, controlled movements. Explain that the bottle is for watching, not throwing or banging. Use a calm, soothing voice to model the peaceful intention of the sensory bottle. Let them observe how you interact with it first.

2

Supervised First Use

Hand the bottle to your child while staying close by. Watch how they handle it and gently guide them if needed. Praise gentle handling and calm observation. Stay present during the first several uses to ensure they understand proper use. Never leave young children unattended with sensory bottles. This supervised time helps establish safe habits and allows you to assess if the bottle is appropriate for your child's developmental stage.

3

Explaining the Calming Benefits

Help your child understand that the sensory bottle is a special tool for when they feel upset, anxious, or need to calm down. Explain in age-appropriate language: 'When you watch the glitter fall, it can help your body feel more peaceful.' Use the bottle together during calm moments first, so it becomes a positive association. Encourage deep breathing while watching the contents settle. This creates a mindfulness practice that can help with emotional regulation.

4

Storage & Maintenance Tips

Store sensory bottles in a safe, accessible place where your child can reach them when needed, but away from extreme temperatures. Regularly inspect the seal and bottle integrity—if you notice any damage, discontinue use immediately. Clean the outside with a damp cloth as needed. Replace bottles every 6-12 months or sooner if the seal weakens. Keep bottles out of direct sunlight to prevent fading. Establish a 'calm corner' where the bottle lives, creating a dedicated space for emotional regulation.
